WebbA child with Down syndrome automatically has delays in processing information and working to complete tasks. When special needs students are in the same classroom as non-disabled peers, it is important to gauge the amount of work they are each able to accomplish in the same amount of time. WebbI have worked with many children with Down syndrome and their families and peers – both as a practitioner and as a researcher. I have also collaborated with many teachers and other preschool and school staff who are committed to supporting all of their students, including those with Down syndrome, in learning to read.
