Webb7 aug. 2013 · The reason being is that the diagonal stitches on the top are longer than the stitches on the back (if you use Sharon's herringbone method). If you flip it and stitch from the back, then quilt it from the front, you'll have less stitches that will catch on your presser foot when quilting.

Webb6 mars 2014 · Sharon Schamber actually dips her thread cones into Mineral Oil and lets them drip a bit before using. I haven't gotten to that yet..lol. I put stripes of oil on the cone. If the thread still has a little issue, then more oil.
