Going to the smaller chamber for increased compression is worth some power. The 317 replacement costs seem to range from $150-$300 per pair. WebOtherwise running stock 706 heads and stock truck intake with DBW throttle body. I have a spare LS short-block that is also an LM7 (I think) with 862 heads and no intake on it. My plan is to rebuild the spare block from the inside out with all new bearings, BTR "Torque" cam, Weiand aluminum intake, and then port/polish the heads.
